What Does A Normal Blood Pressure Means?

High blood pressure or hypertension means high force in the arteries.  Factually, arteries are vessels that carry and transport blood from the pumping heart to all the tissues and organs of the entire body.  High blood pressure does not indicate too much emotional nervousness, although emotional tension and stress can momentarily raise blood pressure level.  Normal blood pressure is supposed to be 120/80 or even lower to some individuals, while, blood pressure between the range of 120/80 and 140/90 is referred to as pre-hypertension meaning you may or may not have the condition, and a blood pressure of 140/90 or above is considered high, thus called high blood pressure. The number above the line or the systolic blood pressure, matches to the pressure in the arteries as the heart contracts and pumps blood into the arteries.  The base number, on the other hand, is the diastolic pressure and it signifies the pressure in the arteries as the heart rests after the pumping of blood.
An elevation of the systolic and diastolic blood pressure augments the danger of developing heart cardiac disease, kidney problems, hardening of the arteries or medically known as arteriosclerosis, eye damage, and stroke which most of the time leads to brain death.  These consequences of hypertension are frequently referred to as end-organ damage since harm to these organs is the most end effect of chronic high blood pressure.  Because of this, the analysis of high blood pressure is essential so interventions can be prepared to stabilize blood pressure and prevent further complications.  Evidently, high blood pressure or hypertension is a most important health problem a person should not disregard.
